Barramundi & Golden dorados
The barramundi, or the Nile perch, is one of the biggest freshwater fish in the world. Since I was young, I have been passionately watching documentaries on fishing and the outdoors, and such documentaries significantly helped me develop sincere affection for living organisms, especially a fish called the Nile perch. I love the Nile perch because its case taught me that a freshwater fish could grow up to two meters and that one single freshwater species could bring about significant ecological changes to its new habitat. Also, drawing this fish was a huge learning process, as I had to learn how to use colored pencils. Using colored pencils was quite challenging, but I felt like I mastered a new artistic skill when I finished the art piece.
